Over the years, I’ve picked up a few books that have genuinely helped me think better, work better, and grow in my career as a Business Analyst and UI/UX designer. This page is simply a collection of books I’ve personally found useful and would recommend to anyone on a similar path.
I’m sharing these as learning resources — especially for beginners and early‑career professionals who want a clearer direction.
UI/UX Design:
Don’t Make Me Think – Steve Krug
This is one of the most straightforward books on usability. It explains how people actually use websites and apps, without jargon or theory overload. If you’re new to UX, this is a great place to start.
The Design of Everyday Things – Don Norman
This book changes how you look at design in daily life — doors, switches, apps, everything. It’s less about tools and more about understanding people, which is what good design is really about.
Business Analysis & Product Thinking:
Business Analysis Techniques – BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT)
A practical reference book that covers commonly used techniques in real projects. It’s especially helpful if you want structure and clarity around the BA role.
Inspired – Marty Cagan
A thoughtful book on how strong product teams work and how good products are built. Useful if you collaborate closely with designers, engineers, or product managers.
Productivity & Career Growth:
Atomic Habits – James Clear
This book is about building small, realistic habits that actually stick. Very useful if you’re trying to improve consistency without burning out.
Deep Work – Cal Newport
A calm, practical take on doing focused work in a world full of distractions. Especially relevant for analytical and creative roles.
Why These Books
I’ve listed these because they are:
Easy to understand
Widely respected in their fields
Useful over the long term, not just for quick motivation
If you’re just starting out, picking even one book from this list is enough.
Note: This page may be updated over time as I come across more resources that I find genuinely helpful.
